At Mount St Thomas Preschool, we pride ourselves on providing quality programs, facilitated by our experienced and dedicated educators. We operate extended preschool hours - from 8am to 5pm, from a convenient location just outside of the Wollongong CBD. Our Centre is licensed for 20 children per day with ages ranging from 2-5 years old.

At Mount St Thomas Preschool, we recognise that every child should feel safe and respected, to encourage positive growth through one of the most important times of their young lives. That’s why we’ve created a nurturing environment – supported by our dedicated educators, our educational program and our philosophy – that aims to make their transition to preschool, and then to school, a fun and positive experience.

Conveniently located on the outskirts of the Wollongong CBD, our tight knit centre is licensed for 20 children per day between the ages of 2-5 years old. This gives every child the time and attention they need to aid their development through our program of structured and unstructured learning. We challenge them everyday to explore and interact with their peers, teachers and their environment, to become self-confident and foster their curiosity. Our Philosophy

We aim to implement the Reggio Emilia Approach which encourages more flexibility, open ended and play-based experiences allowing children to use hands-on exploration to discover and explore their interests.

Our Program

Guided by the National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework, our preschool program in Wollongong focuses on play-based learning. We encourage exploration, creativity and independence as part of our holistic approach to early childhood education.
